VerdaSee Portal ID™ is a family
of solutions that provide automated tracking and tracing of assets
as they enter or leave designated areas within a healthcare facility.
Equipment, bundles of assets on skids, hospital patients, or other
personnel can be automatically identified and tracked at all times
using radio frequency identification (RFID) technology. The target
entrance and exit portals can be office doors, industrial dock doors,
security gates, or custom designed portals on conveyor manufacturing
lines. RFID readers are direct wired or wireless LAN connected to
a controller. The readers detect signals from RFID tags placed on
assets or individuals. The readers communicate this information
to the system server using VerdaSee Navigator TM software. Information
such as location, time, temperature, patient identity or asset number
can be immediately communicated to individuals requiring the information
VerdaSee Dock Door Portal ID™
solutions provide high performance tracking of assets that enter
or leave healthcare facilities through dock doors. The dock doors
are equipped with RFID readers and antennas by VerdaSee's Field
Engineering experts. RFID tags or labels are affixed to personnel,
target assets, or skids of assets. These assets are tracked automatically
as they pass through the dock door. VerdaSee can design solutions
that differentiate between assets that are entering, or leaving,
the target area. This can also be used to assist in inventory reconciliation
or vendor managed inventory (VMI). VerdaSee Navigator TM software
processes information from the RFID readers and tags and displays
vital asset information automatically without human intervention.
RFID tags are more robust than bar codes and are not susceptible
to normal handling that can damage or obscure bar code information.

VerdaSee Conveyor Portal ID™
solutions provide an excellent mechanism for tracking prescriptions
bottles or other assets processed in our customers' automatic packaging
applications. VerdaSee's engineers design high performance portals
that are integrated into existing conveyor systems. The conveyors
are fitted with RFID readers. Assets moving through the portal are
fitted with RFID tags or labels. As the assets move through the
portal vital information is automatically collected and managed
by the readers and VerdaSee Navigator TM software. Time, asset location,
unique asset identification numbers, and other information are automatically
retrieved and displayed as needed. Unlike traditional bar code systems,
this RFID solution does not require "line of sight" scanners. RFID
tags and labels are more durable than bar codes provide higher levels
of data accuracy.

VerdaSee Office Door Portal ID™
solutions work similar to the other VerdaSee Portal-ID™ product
solutions. In this case the portal consists of a standard office
door. Assets or personnel entering or leaving are automatically
tracked with the RFID readers, RFID tags, and VerdaSee Navigator
TM software. These solutions can be direct wired or wireless LAN.
